Eurosatory 2026: Redefining Defence and Security Amid Global Conflict and Technological Disruption’

Eurosatory 2026 was a clear reflection of a changing strategic landscape. With 2,633 exhibitors from 67 countries, 59,972 industry visitors and 440 official delegations from 95 countries, the show brought together the global defence and security community at a moment defined by conflict, climate-related risks, societal threats and rapid technological disruption.

One of the strongest signals came from Ukraine. Its 87 exhibitors, compared with just 10 in 2024, highlighted the speed at which its defence industry has evolved. Drones, electronic warfare and affordable, AI-enabled saturation solutions demonstrated how operational pressure can accelerate innovation. Ukraine’s presence raised a wider question for the international defence industry: how quickly can new technologies be integrated and produced at scale?

This challenge was visible across the exhibition. Defence technological and industrial bases are moving beyond traditional, high-value, small-batch production. Civilian manufacturers, deep-tech start-ups and established defence companies are increasingly working together on drones, counter-drone systems, deep-strike capabilities, artificial intelligence and New Space. The priority is clear: strengthen sovereignty and resilience while delivering solutions faster and at sustainable cost.

Eurosatory also underlined the convergence of defence and homeland security. Hostile drones, disinformation, critical-infrastructure sabotage and climate-driven disasters demand connected capabilities and closer cooperation between governments, armed forces, security agencies and industry.

With 20 defence ministers, 82 internal security delegations and 400 international speakers, Eurosatory served as a high-level forum for dialogue, partnerships and strategic collaboration. Its 2026 edition confirmed that the future of defence will be more open, more technology-driven and more closely linked to industrial competitiveness.
